We're currently under an "Extreme Cold Warning" here, and they're not kidding: the temperature this morning was -28c, with a windchill of -43c! We're currently under an "Extreme Cold" warning, covering much of Southwest Saskatchewan; the temperature is hovering round -29c, with wind chills to around -39c. Thankfully it's supposed to start warming up a bit tomorrow, but this is just nasty. At least there's no snow coming down when it gets this cold. :/

Awoke this morning to the nightmarish realization that our neighbours to the south have elected Donald Trump to be their next president. The fallout has already started, with various minority groups being mocked and threatened (moreso than usual) by the goons that have crawled out from under their rocks to praise their glorious leader Trump.

Four months and a day.... :/

Summer is always a crazy time at the shop, and it seems to get crazier every year. Hopefully as things slow down a little in the cooler months I can use LJ's date-change feature to add things I've been slacking on.

Last night was not pleasant. Woke up at 2:30am with a need to use the washroom, and as I feared the muscle spasms in my left thigh returned. Thankfully with nowhere near the intensity, but enough to be unpleasant, and with a constant twinge as a warning that a full-blown spasm could happen at any moment.

The last couple of days, we have been clearing away some of the deadfall and high grass around one of the old barns here on the farm that we are hoping to restore and make usable again. It's 11:25pm as I write this; I've been awake since 6am, when an animal outside woke me up with its piercing cry. Might have been a fox, or maybe a deer; either way, I was wide awake then. That didn't really bother me though, as there was a lot of work to do today.

So much for the Calgary Flames' 2015 Stanley Cup Playoff run; they lost 3-2 in Overtime to the Anaheim Ducks, who were leading the conference 3-1. Frankly, the Ducks have been a vastly superior team, out-shooting the Flames roughly 2:1 every time, and winning 4 out of 5 games as a result.
